Recently, the groundbreaking ceremony for the National Museum of Uzbekistan was held in Tashkent. Uzbek President Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Prime Minister Abdulla Nigmatovich Aripov, and other senior officials attended the ceremony.

During his inspection at the site, President Shavkat Mirziyoyev was briefed on the architectural design, project features, and construction plan. He placed a card inscribed with good wishes and high expectations into a time capsule, which was then embedded into the foundation to mark the start of the project.

The museum, undertaken by CSCEC, features a design that integrates circular, square, and triangular elements, symbolizing the harmonious unity of Eastern and Western cultures. With a total construction area of about 44,000 square meters, the project consists of a main building with three floors above ground and two underground levels, along with auxiliary facilities.

Once completed, the museum will form a cultural landmark integrating scientific education, cultural experience, and tourism, in synergy with surrounding sites such as the Abulkasym Madrassah, the Peoples&/en/xwzx/xw/202509/39; Friendship Palace, and Uzbekistan&/en/xwzx/xw/202509/39;s national park.
